Inspired by the project Let's Have Dinner and Talk About Death and still eager to explore the intersections of the two themes we found commonly interesting as a collective - food and death, we hosted a dinner/performance at A-venue as part of the closure of the last module of Balticlab 3.0. Believing that a beautifully designed experience can serve as a relaxing setting for potentially not so conventional dinner topics, we offered the guests of this dinner a rather extraordinary menu for conversation inviting them to discuss personal fears and wishes, regarding death and dying, thoughts on the end of life and afterlife, and other related topics. Moreover, with the firm belief that a healthy understanding of death’s imminence can change how we live and make life a celebration, we also invited all guests to contribute something for this evening in a form of a poster, performance, dance, art-piece, video, etc. on the topic of death.
All of this resulted in one of the most personal, inspiring and touching experiences for everybody involved and left us a collective with deep reflections and a set of elements we would continue to explore in our further artistic experiments.
